Alaskian Sour Dough Bread

Ingredients

bread flour

cups
luke warm water

stick
margarine or butter

cup
 sugar

instant potato flakes

pkg.
quick rise yeast

salt



Utensils

pyrex loaf dishes (bread browns much better in glass)

mixing bowl

measuring cup

oven


       
Put margarine in water to melt.

Mix dry ingredients in large bowl.

When margarine has melted,  stir mixture well,  then blend into dry mixture.

Mix well, cover and let rise until it has doubled in size ( approx. one hour ).

Flour a counter top and hands, kneed air out of dough.
 
Seperate dough into three equal parts.

Grease or  "Pam" loaf dishes,  then spread one of the parts of dough evenly
into one loaf dish.

Repeat for the other two  parts of dough.

Cover dishes and let rise to the top of the dish ( 45 minutes to 1 hour ).

Bake in pre-heated oven at 350° for 30 minutes.

Butter top of loaves to keep crust from getting hard.
